Services Advance to Final After Defeating Kerala 4-2 in National Games

In a thrilling encounter at the 37th National Games, Services secured a spot in the final by defeating Kerala with a score of 4-2. The match, which took place at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, witnessed an intense battle between the two teams.

Kerala initially took the lead with a penalty kick by Nijo Gilbert, the midfielder, in the 10th minute. However, Services quickly responded, with Rahul Ramkrishnan, the midfielder, scoring the equalizer in injury time of the first half, making it 1-1. 

As the second half commenced, Rahul Ramkrishnan netted another goal in the 50th minute, putting Services ahead 2-1. P. Christopher extended their lead, making it 3-1 in the 66th minute. Kerala fought back, narrowing the gap to 3-2 with a penalty kick by Sanju G in the 70th minute. Nevertheless, Services solidified their victory with Bikash Thapa, the striker, scoring in the 82nd minute, resulting in a final score of 4-2.

The exciting match showcased the talent and determination of both teams, with Services emerging victorious and advancing to the much-anticipated final.
