MAYEM: Sesa Goa recently distributed notebooks to students from Piligao.
Speaking on the occasion, a company official, Abdullah M Khan, said 168 primary schools, 55 high schools and eight higher secondary schools are covered under the scheme in the State.
He further said in Bicholim unit, 7,399 students from 46 schools benefited from the scheme. “This is the fourth year the company has taken this initiative in Piligao Panchayat,” he added and thanked the Piligao Panchayat for giving the opportunity to conduct the need-based activities.
He highlighted various CSR activities of Sesa Goa in its operating area.
Sarpanch Jayant Kavlekar appreciated Sesa Goa for its CSR initiatives and requested the company to take up major developmental activities for Piligao.
