Sesa Workers Stage Protest at Sesa Ghor, Demanding Release of Provident Fund

In a show of discontent, workers of Sesa, a prominent company, gathered in front of Sesa Ghor in Patto, Panaji, on Friday morning, demanding the release of their provident fund amounts. The protest, marked by its peaceful nature, took a turn as the aggrieved workers were denied access to the building premises, prompting the deployment of police forces.

The protesting Sesa workers, numbering in the dozens, assembled outside Sesa Ghor to voice their concerns over the non-release of their provident fund amounts. Holding placards and expressing their grievances, the workers sought the attention of the company’s management to address their demands.

However, as the protesting workers attempted to enter the building premises to escalate their concerns directly with the management, they were met with resistance. Security personnel denied entry to the workers, leading to heightened tensions. In response to the situation, local authorities deployed a police force to maintain order and ensure the safety of all involved parties.

The standoff between the workers and security personnel unfolded as the employees insisted on having their demands heard, emphasizing the significance of their provident fund release. The police presence aimed to prevent any escalation and maintain a peaceful environment during the demonstration.

The workers allege that despite repeated appeals and attempts to communicate with the management regarding their provident fund release, their concerns have not been adequately addressed. The protest serves as a collective effort to draw attention to their predicament and press for a resolution.
