MARGAO: Congress Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco vide a letter to the Chief Minister and Health Minister has urged that a quarantine facility for coronavirus suspect cases be set up at the new South Goa District Hospital, which is not yet commissioned.
Pointing out that the number of suspected case are on the increase with nearly 90 people being quanrantined at home, he said setting up of such a quarantine facility at Margao would come as a big relief to the people and thereby reduce the burden on GMC.
On that note, he further argued that neither the over-burdened Hospicio hospital nor the ten-bedded isolation ward at TB hospital at Margao will be able to cater to the needs of the people of South Goa and hence the setting up of the facility at the new district hospital would be an ideal solution.
