Seven shacks, 5 shops razed at Morjim

Seven illegal shacks and five shops of Lamanis selling clothes were demolished at Morjim and Kerim beaches on Wednesday.
The tourism department sent labourers and demolished five shacks at Temwado Beach and two shacks at Kerim Beach. The demolition squad also razed five shops of lamanis at Tembwado beach.
A Pernem police team was stationed to tackle any law and order problem during the demolition drive.
Assistant Director of Tourism Department J N Sangodkar, Pernem PSI Dattaram Ravul and Pernem Mamlatdar Bhushan Sawaikar were present during the demolition drive.
