MARGAO: The Board of South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) has agreed to give a one-month extension for receiving suggestions and objections to the reopened Outline Development Plans (ODPs) in the interest of the public.
SGPDA Chairman Krishna ‘Daji’ Salkar said they will write to the government about this and that it was agreed that this should be done in the interest of the public.

He gave examples of how there are some applicants who have genuine issues with the marking of roads and this is an opportunity for them to send in their feedback, which would be reviewed.
It may be recalled that the government had issued directions to hold the draft ODPs and further directed the PDAs to prepare the fresh ODPs in consultation with the expert, including Margao and Ponda.
The United Goans Foundations (UGF) has already filed their objections to reopening the Margao and Ponda ODPs.
