Shaikh to race in Maharashtra

PANJIM: The 2012 national motocross champion of India, Javed Shaikh is off to Gadinglaz, Maharashtra to race at a national motocross event. The event will be held under supervision of Federation of Motor Sports Club of India (FMSCI).

Shaikh is backed by the Sports Authority of Goa for this national event. The procedure to get a new bike and financial help for Javed for his racing is going is on at the authorities’ level. If Shaikh gets a new prepped up bike and financial aid from government and SAG, he will compete in higher classes and better racers of India and abroad.
Javed has won Championship in 2012 in Mx-2 Foreign Class. He is now riding in India’s top class in Super cross – Foreign Mx-1 class. He was runner up in Mx-1 in the year 2013. Mx-1 is the biggest motorcycle races in Indian Super Cross.
