MAPUSA: Shilpa Pranesh Gawas was elected unopposed as the new sarpanch of Nadora Village Panchayat on Wednesday.
The post of the Sarpanch was vacant after the former sarpanch resigned from the post. The name of Gawas was proposed by Devesh Redkar and seconded by Vishwaja Haldankar.
A special meeting was convened at the panchayat office on Wednesday and after following the due process, the presiding officer Shirish Kumar Tari declared Gawas as new sarpanch of Nadora.
