PONDA: The Ponda Police Station was the site of high drama as a large number of local residents, including women from Daboli-Shiroda, gathered in protest against a local woman who has allegedly been threatening and abusing the community. Frustrated with the continuous harassment, the locals staged a protest march to the police station, demanding immediate action against the woman and her family.
According to the locals, the woman in question has been causing trouble in the area, harassing residents over minor issues and threatening to involve them in legal matters by filing false cases. The protestors, accompanied by a local panchayat member, camped outside the police station for two hours, vowing not to leave until the woman apologised for her actions.
This is not the first time that the issue has been brought to the attention of the Ponda Police Station.
