Shirodkar for professional exposure for govt employees

Shirodkar said that Sahakar (Co-operation) is the culture of living and has great significance in the upbringing of an individual.

PANJIM: Co-operation Minister Subhash Shirodkar on Monday said that professional exposure and training are very much important for government employees to enhance their skills during their service period and deliver excellent output in the interest of the public.

Shirodkar was speaking at a valedictory function of an in-service training programme for senior auditor/senior inspectors/SRO and junior auditors/junior inspectors of the Co-operation Department conducted by the Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (GIPARD) at Ella Farm, Old Goa.

Shirodkar said that Sahakar (Co-operation) is the culture of living and has great significance in the upbringing of an individual. The Co-operation Department requires a vibrant change in its functioning as far as the audit sector is concerned and informed that the department will work on executing effective methods in delivering its service to the public.

The minister appealed to all the officers, who attended the training session to work hard as they share huge responsibilities in extending excellent service to the public at large. 

Secretary (Co-operation) MRRao, IAS, lauded the efforts of the GIPARD for conducting comprehensive training courses and appealed to all the officers in the department to work for the betterment of the State.

Director of GIPARD Michael D’Souza, IAS, elaborated on the in-service training programmes for auditors and their significance in the functioning of co-operative societies while deputy director of GIPARD Dr Seema Fernandes informed about a training programme designed for the auditors and its benefits for co-operative administration.

Junior auditor Sandesh Desai, Shraddha Vaingankar, Manuja Upadhye, Teja Narvekar, Sanjana Mhambrey and Prachi Mirashi shared their experiences during the training.
