Show me which section of the Municipal Act says that the elections for the post of Chairperson should be by secret ballots, questions Margao MLA Digambar Kamat claiming show of hands is the right way to elect the Chairperson. He said that the Opposition is unnecessarily making statements.
“Open the law book of the Municipality Act and check whether the voting for the Chairperson can only be done by secret ballot. If there is a single word that mentions secret ballot, come and show it to me”, said Kamat.
