PANJIM: With 30134 passengers already returning to their native places in different parts of the country in last few days by Shramik Express trains as many as 3265 passengers left Goa by special trains of Konkan Railway from Karmali railway station to Bhawanipatna in Odisha and Jasidih in Jharkhand on Saturday.

Asst. Manager, ITG, Gaurav Naik, Asst. Manager, ITG & Dy. Collector (Tiswadi) staff were present at the time of departure of the train.
The people who boarded on the train were in Goa due to the ongoing nationwide lockdown in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. A proper medical screening and other formalities of the passengers were carried out before they boarded on both trains.
One bus bearing registration No. GA-03-X-0556 left from Goa for Mumbai with 22 passengers (7-Mumbai, 3-Pune & 12-Kolhapur), which will exit Goa via Patradevi checkpost. The bus will bring seafarers from Mumbai on Sunday.
The entire operation was monitored by District Magistrate North Goa, Smt. R. Menaka, IAS, under overall supervision of Kunal, IAS, Nodal Officer for Interstate Movement Cell.
