Shree Shantadurga Kunkallikarin zatra concludes

CUNCOLIM: With the State witnessing a surge in Covid cases, thousands of devotees thronged Fatorpa for the famous zatra of Shree Shantadurga  Kunka-llikarin which concluded on Wednesday. 

A procession of the Goddess was taken out in a Maharath adorned with a special victory flag at 6 am in the presence of devotees who praised the goddess.

The devotees offered bananas, laddoos and money.  In the morning after performing the religious rituals, the procession started from the main temple gate.  Hundreds of devotees pulled the ropes of Maharath with joy.

Jatrotsava commenced on January 7 at 5 pm. On the following day, the procession of Goddess was taken out on a chariot.  On January 11, after performing the religious rituals, the Goddess was enthroned on the Maharath during the vadla jatra on Wednesday.

The festival concluded with a Zagor on Wednesday night.
