Shripad announces Ayurvedic institute in Goa

PANJIM: The AYUSH Ministry is coming with a project in Dhargalim to attract foreign tourists. 
Shripad Naik, Union AYUSH Minister speaking to the media on Friday said that a project of Rs 1000 crore will come up at Dhargalim with OPD, Research Centre and Post Graduation studies. 
He said the centre will have a special wing for yoga which will attract international tourists. He also said that yoga cottages are planned. “We are trying to attract foreign tourists with yoga. Tender and MoU with government of Goa of the project is ready. After completing further procedures we will tender it in the next 15 days,” Naik said. 
He said there will be 80 percent reservation for Goans in employment and also reservation for post graduation studies in Ayurveda.
He said the project will come up in two phases. In the first phase the government will spend Rs 500 crore and another Rs 500 crore in the next phase. 
The minister said that the 60 percent share of AYUSH ministry to construct the ayurvedic district hospitals have been sent to the Goa government.
