PANJIM: Even as there is no news forthcoming on the seafarers issue from the State or the Centre, Union Minister of State AYUSH and MoS Defence Shripad Naik met Union Minister for External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar to discuss the seafarers issue in Goa and other parts of the country.

Taking to his social media handles, Minister Naik said that Dr Jaishankar has assured all possible efforts to bring back the seafarers to India, who are stranded in different parts of the world.
“The minister also informed that all embassies abroad have been directed to extend help to stranded Indians,” Naik wrote.
