CANACONA: Shristhal BMC in association with Shree Kamadhenu Goraksha Seva Saunstha Canacona took up novel initiative and tied reflective belts around the neck of stray cattle in Canacona on Wednesday.
While informing about their latest drive, members of Shristhal BMC said that a total of 23 radium reflective belts were tied around the neck of the cattle which are reflective, so as to avoid the vehicle about the danger ahead.
There have been several cattle squatting on the middle of road thus blocking the traffic.
“We have also given 11 such belts for tying stay cattle in Palolem and Sadolxem as per the requests from locals there” informed Damodar Chari, an active member of Shristhal BMC.
The cost of the belt is born by Thulo Gaonkar and those present during the drive.
