PANJIM: Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Minister Jitendra Kumar Rai on Wednesday reiterated the commitment of the Bihar government to develop the State as a centre in film production.
Speaking to reporters at the Bihar Pavilion of Film Bazaar, Rai explained about the unexplored, untouched places of Bihar, historical monuments, religious circuits and rapid infrastructure development that will attract filmmakers all over the country and abroad.
Referring to the upcoming new film policy of Bihar, he said that it will consider all aspects including single window clearance, financial support by subsidies, better security and hospitality services. The aim of the government is to emerge Bihar on the film making map of the country and also boost tourism.
Earlier, popular actor-producer Mukesk Rishi, accompanied by director Mandeep Behl and Raghav Rishi and Ranjana Dev Sharma (IIS), Additional Director General, PIB visited the Bihar Pavilion at Film Bazaar. Appealing to the film fraternity, Rishi mentioned that Bihar has immense possibility in film making and they must visit Bihar to truly appreciate that.
Popular Director-Producer Kabir Khan too had an interaction about Bihar Film Policy at the pavilion with Deepak Anand (IAS), Additional Secretary, Department of Art and Culture, Bihar.
Meanwhile, Sheo Shankar Shukla (IAS), Principal Secretary, Tourism Department, Madhya Pradesh also shared his insights with Deepak Anand regarding the MP government policy. The two States hoped for collaborative events in future too.
