PANJIM: The State government is expected to soon set up a single window clearance system to take up all matters regarding land conversion involving different government departments in a time-bound manner.
“We are considering a proposal for implementing high powered Land Revenue Board that would take up all matters of land conversion through single window wherein all concerned government departments like Town and Country Planning, Forest and Revenue will make decisions in a time-bound manner,” Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte said while addressing a function on the disbursement of orders for the regularisation of structures under the Goa Regularisation of Unauthorised Construction Act 2016.
He further said the government streamlined several procedures like Mutation and Partition and also started online services for the benefit of the common man. The Revenue Department is also endeavouring to start Common Service Centres across all talukas to offer time bound services.
A recent joint meeting of TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai and Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte, along with the officials of concerned departments, had decided that TCP will not approve regularisation of unauthorised structures on orchard land or sub divided orchard plot. As many as 7500 applications for regularisation of unauthorised structures are pending before the government. The meeting had also decided to regularise commercial constructions built within 100 sq mts and unauthorised houses within 200 sq mts area in private lands.
