Sinha to be Goa’s first lady gov

PANJIM: After a wait of nearly two months, Mridula Sinha was named governor of Goa on Tuesday.

Her appointment was confirmed by President Pranab Mukherjee along with three other new governors for Rajasthan, Karnataka and Maharashtra. (Three more state governors appointed – Pg9)
Sinha, a native of Muzaffarpur in Bihar is a renowned Hindi writer and ex-chairperson of Central Board of Social Welfare. In her brief interaction with the media in New Delhi soon after being appointed, the contented Sinha said she is excited to take up challenges as Goa’s first lady governor.
