MAPUSA: On occasion of Goa Revolution day, the Siolim Marna Village panchayat launched it’s panchayat website at the hands of Former WRD minister and Siolim MLA Vinod Palyekar in the presence of Sarpanch Monali Pednekar, Dy Sarpanch Freddy Fernandes, Subhash Kambli Secretary, web designer Eleuterio Fernandes and others.
Sarpanch Monali Pednekar said, “From last three years we were working on this website. This Panchayat Website has details of all the schemes available under director of panchayat. Also online forms are available for the people to download and submit at the panchayat office. Different committees as well as details of works that are carried out by the panchayat are also uploaded. We are also planning to have the house tax online receipt feature where in after paying the house tax, people can download the receipts especially those who are abroad”.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Vinod Palyekar appreciated the efforts taken by the panchayat saying, “Panchayat has taken up a Good Initiative. This website will help the people to know functioning of the panchayat by sitting at home.
People will also get to know about different schemes available including online forms which they can download and submit in panchayat just by sitting at home.
In the digital world, having a website is need of the hour. I appeal People of Marna-Siolim take the benefit of the service and cooperate with the panchayat”.
