CALANGUTE: Anjuna police have registered an offence against a teacher of a Siolim school for allegedly raping a minor girl studying in Std IV. Acting on a complaint filed by the girl’s mother, the police sent the girl for a medical examination in the presence of some NGO members, which did not confirm rape.
As such, the police are treating the case as sexual assault and are investigating the same from that angle. No arrests have been made so far. PSI Mahesh Kerkar is investigating the case.
