PANJIM: Mohsin Khan, brother of Imran Khan the alleged accused in illegal mining case, was interrogated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Crime Branch on Friday.
According to SIT officials Mohsin also dealt in the export of iron ore under S M Exports. An officer said that transactions in crores of rupees were made through his firm. S M Export is a partnership firm between Mohsin Khan and another person from outside the State.
“This firm suspiciously dealt in iron ore belonging to a reputed mine owner through a trader who is now absconding and SIT is looking out for him,” an officer said.
SIT is in possession of bank account details and will unearth more hidden transactions once the absconding accused is apprehended.
SIT last week arrested Imran for cheating the State of crores of rupees through illegal extraction of ore.
