PANJIM: After a long break, the State-run home Apna Ghar is back in the news for all the wrong reasons as six minor boys have escaped from the facility. The escape comes barely five days after another minor boy fled leaving the authorities red faced.
“We have received a complaint that seven boys, within less than one week, have escaped from Apna Ghar. We are on a look out for them,” an Old Goa police personnel told Herald.
While the police have so far failed to trace their whereabouts, the team is inquiring into how they managed to break through the security. Railway stations, bus stands and other public places are being searched to trace the boys.
The institution until the recent past often grabbed attention for series of escapes and attack on fellow inmates and/or staff.
