Governor of Goa on Monday drew an order summoning 6 day assembly session beginning from February 2, 2024. This session gains lot of importance as the Loksabha Elections 2024 are fast approaching. The ruling government will try to present an all pleasing budget this February with special emphasis on the marquee schemes i.e. Atal Asra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat and other schemes.
The six days Budget session will be opened with the Governor P. S. Shreeedharan Pillai’s address. The issue of Goa Government Debt servicing, land acquisition for Bhoma road, Borim bridge, Mhadei issue and the issues surrounding the Smart City works of Panjim are likely to the debated hotly in the upcoming session.
With the induction of new Cabinet Minister Aleixo Sequeira and Chief Minister now retaining Public Works Department (PWD) all eyes are set on the Opposition Benches. The opposition will try to corner the Government on the above mentioned and many other issues that Goa is facing currently.
