PANJIM: Six persons were injured, two of them seriously in a head-on collision between two cars on Ponda-Panjim road near Mollar-Corlim on Sunday evening.
According to the Old Goa police, the accident occurred when the Karnataka registered Hyundai Santro car proceeding from Panjim to Ponda collided against an oncoming Maruti Eeco car at Mollar-Corlim at around 4:40 pm.
All four occupants in the Karnataka registered car identified as Vishnu Kaladagi, 31, Nagraj Haligeri, 21, Ravi Chandasar, 28 and Purnanand Hanapur, 25, all native of Belagavi-Karnataka and Sainath Kadam, 25 and Suraj Hole, both from Maharashtra were injured.
Purnanand Hanapur and Sainath Kadam have suffered fractures to their legs and have been admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim for treatment.
The Old Goa police conducted the panchanama and Head Constable Santosh Jadhav is conducting investigations under the guidance of Old Goa PI Satish Padwalkar.
