Six Padma nominees from Goa

NEW DELHI, JAN 22
Six Goans, including late Shreeram Kamat whose last work was an encyclopaedia, figure among 1302 nominations received by the Government for the Padma awards to be announced on the eve of the Republic Day.
Former Solicitor General of India and leading lawyer Dr Manohar Usgaonkar in public affairs category, Vinayak Vishnu Khedekar in arts, industrialist Anil Counto and social workers Gangaram Morajkar and Ramkrishna Naik are the other nominees.
