PANJIM: Three persons have been arrested for allegedly running a cricket betting racket on the ongoing IPL cricket season, in yet another raid by Crime Branch.
Shakti Punjabi, Vishal Ahuja and Hitesh Keshwani, all natives of Gandhidham in Gujarat, were caught red-handed at a villa in Arpora. “They were entering these bets on high tech computer software in their laptop. The trio had accepted bets of over Rs 1.17 crore throughout the current IPL season from their customers in Gujarat,” the CB said.
This is CB’s third raid while three other IPL betting racket was busted by Calangute police; all within a span of one month.
