MAPUSA: Farmers in Aldona have demand immediate repair of a sluice gate and bandaras in the villager after the sluice gate burst on Wednesday.
Farmers complained that since last seven years, they have been unable to cultivate their fields as the saline water enters into the fields, in which they used to cultivate at least two crops in a year.
They further informed that in the last seven years they had contacted several departments such as agriculture and irrigation, however, the authorities concerned failed to take any action. They said that they had also informed the authorities about the precarious condition of the burst sluice gate.
