All Smart City works in Panjim including sewerage works, 4.3 km concrete road work, etc will continue in the rains said Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday.
Sawant had earlier informed that he has given instructions to contractors to rope in additional labourers and work round-the-clock in three shifts and finish the all ongoing works of Smart City by June 15.
However, after an inspection on Tuesday, CM Sawant stated that the works will be completed by October and not June 15 as he had previously said. Sawant further said that all works undertaken by GSUDA, PWD etc will also continue during the monsoon. CM Sawant also assured that the city will not witness flooding this monsoon.
