SANGUEM: Chairperson of Sanguem Municipal Council Romualdo Fernandes on Tuesday submitted his resignation from the post of Chairperson to the Director of Municipal Administration Tariq Thomas.
Fernandes served as the chairperson of SMC for last 22 months and during his tenure as chairperson, Fernandes was instrumental in getting several development projects in the town area.
Sources informed that Queiroz Cruz and Sanjay Raikar are likely to vie for the post of chairperson.
