BICHOLIM: The deputy chairperson of Sanquelim Municipal Council (SMC) expired at his residence at Virdi Sakhali due to brief illness today. Ghadi was elected as SMC councillor on two consecutive terms. Recently he joined BJP before securing the post of a deputy chairperson.
His final rites were held at a local crematorium at Virdi on Sunday. BJP Sanquelim block president Gopal Surlakar, SMC Chairperson Yeshwant Madkar and other councillors have expressed their condolences.
