BICHOLIM: As per the directions of the Sanquelim Municipal Council (SMC) Chief Officer Pravinjay Pandit, the municipal officials imposed fines on those persons who were found without face masks at public places.
Those who were fined also included vegetable vendors and some consumers who had visited the market without masks. The CO informed that such drive will continue.
Through a special awareness vehicle, SMC created awareness with regards to preventive measures against COVID-19.
The Sanquelim Municipal Council along with officials of the FDA, Excise and Police raided those business establishments which were found operating without valid trade licence, FDA licence and other documents.
