PANJIM: Social activist Adv Aires Rodrigues on Friday met Director General of Police Indradev Shukla and submitted a complaint against Panjim MLA Atanasio Babush Monserrate, alleging that the latter was reportedly planning an attack on his life after the High Court order in the infamous 2008 Panjim Police Station attack case.
In his letter to the DGP, Adv Rodrigues said that he has bonafide reasons and valid apprehensions to believe that Monserrate is planning another attack on his life being now enraged after the High Court order on December 22, in the Panjim Police Station attack case in which the MLA and his wife Revenue Minister Jennifer Monserrate and 35 others are the accused.
He had drawn DGP’s attention that Monserrate had allegedly masterminded October 13, 2008 grievous attack on him at a city restaurant.
