Social and Environmental Activists from Sattari have opposed the implementation of the Kalasa-Banduri project in Karnataka. They have demanded that the NOC given to the Detailed Project Report of Karnataka be revoked. They appealed to the people of Goa to unite to save the Mhadei river since the very livelihood of the people of Sattari and Goa depends on Mhadei or Mandovi.
