Social distancing gone for a toss

PANJIM: Close to 3,000 doctors, nurses, para-medical staff and other health workers, attached to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim were felicitated in a grand event for their commendable service during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, social distancing norm was thrown to winds to some extent. To ensure that there is no crowding, the GMC had divided the staffers, to be felicitated into different categories and were kept in different rooms, before their names were called out. While the Head of Departments and senior doctors were seen sitting in the main GMC examination hall, where the event took place, the others were housed in different rooms that witnessed crowding.
