CURCHOREM: The water supply problem in Sanvordem constituency would be solved by year end as the main pipe line from Tilamol to Sanvordem under JICA project would be completed soon. assured Sanvordem MLA and GSIDC Chairman Sandeep Pawaskar while interacting with media person at Sanvordem on Monday
After laying the foundation stone to parallel 120 meters long bridge at Sanguem at the hands of PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar, Sanvordem MLA along with Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar and Dhavalikar toured the Sanguem and Sanvordem constituencies to take the stock of the difficulties faced by the residents of some areas due to shortage/unavailability of drinking water.
Addressing the panchayat members from Sanvordem and Collem, Pawaskar said that 3 MLD water treatment plant at Collem estimated at Rs.6.5 crores would be completed soon and try to provide 24 hours supply after replacing old interior pipe lines by spending around Rs.15 lakhs once the main pipe line under JICA projects completed.
Dhavalikar assured to complete the entire JICA project by August end which was supposed to be completed in March this year. To commence the mining in the state is our dream from the beginning and will cooperate and support if they take initiative as assured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. said Dhavlikar when asked what is their stand on mining resumption.
