VASCO: The members of Cortalim unit of Aam Admi Party (AAP) Thursday issued a 15-day ultimatum to the PWD to solve water crises faced by the residents of Cortalim, failing which they have threatened to come out on streets to protest.
A memorandum in this regards have been also submitted to the PWD officials.
According to the AAP Cordinator for Cortalim Constituency Advocate Athnain Naik, they had conducted a survey in the Cortalim and were shocked to listen from the people that they have been reeling under severe water crises and have been receiving contaminated muddy water in their taps.
He also claimed that people also complained about the excess water charges received by them due to new water meter.
“It was surprising to hear that though the State received excess rainfall this year, still the people of Cortalim have to face acute water shortage,” Naik said.
