VASCO: Power supply to some parts of the port town was disrupted by over six hours when a tree got uprooted near the KTC bus stop and snapped the electricity wires on Tuesday.
The incident took place at about 4 pm and the tree also damaged a garage and a tempo in the process. Electricity department workers and Vasco fire services went to the site and cleared the uprooted tree, but they were yet to restore power supply to the city till Tuesday night.
In another incident, the roof collapsed at a house at Vaddem, causing damage of about Rs 1 lakh.
