Some relief! Positivity rate drops to 33.89 p.c.

3,793 recoveries in past 24 hours; Death count drops to 43

PANJIM: Sunday brought some respite to Goa, which has been reeling under severe COVID crisis, as the State reported highest daily recoveries in many weeks and also recorded a further drop in the positivity rate. 

Goa reported 3,793 recoveries in past 24 hours, outnumbering new infections which were recorded at 1,314. 

The positivity rate dropped to 33.89 per cent while recovery rate stood at 77.66 per cent. 

In some relief, the daily death count also dropped to 43 after recording over 50 deaths since last many weeks. 

The State’s active case tally stood at 28,252, a drop from 30,774 reported till Saturday.  

As on Sunday, 1,35,856 people tested positive for the virus of which 1,05,505 have recovered while 2,099 succumbed. 

In the last 24 hours, 149 patients were discharged from hospital while 1,200 patients were put under home isolation.
