Panjim: In a shocking development Varun Nayyar, the son of a prominent restauranteur of Panjim has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor 13 year old girl. She reportedly was a ‘special’ differently abled girl.
The accused had reportedly raped the girl in a hotel room earlier last week. Apparently he tried to do the same again when he was apprehended.
According to sources this was not the first instance of sexual assault on the girl.
According to the complaint lodged by the girl’s parents, the accused had called her again. The suspicious parents followed and caught the accused near one of the isolated spots around Porvorim. Though the accused tried to flee, the victim’s parents managed to overpower him and take him to the Porvorim police station
The accused is a son of businessman who runs chain of well known restaurants in Panjim.
