A team of officials from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrived in Goa in connection with the death of Sonali Phogat on Friday and by Saturday the CBI forensic team began their investigation at the Grand Leoney Resort where Sonali had stayed prior to her death.
A senior police official said that the team of CBI officials arrived in the coastal state on Friday. He added that the team would be visiting the Anjuna Police Station and other spots related to the case.
Goa Police have arrested five persons in connection with the death. While two are booked for murder, the other three are arrested under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. A Police Official said that all the documents related to the case will be handed over to the CBI Officials. Meanwhile, by Saturday morning, CBI forensic team reached Grand Leoney resort as a part of their investigation.
