MARGAO: South Goa Collectorate will be launching an app for the public to access information on the status of the cases at the mamlatdar and deputy collector offices.
Sources in the Collectorate informed that the app being designed will be similar to the website of the High Court where the public will be able to access information regarding the status of the cases, cause list of the cases, judgments, list of cases scheduled for the day and several other features. The App will help lawyers and their clients know whether a case is scheduled for the day or has been postponed as well as give access to uncertified copies of Orders.
The app is expected to be in the public domain by the end of January 2019.
With the launch of the app, it is expected that the public will save time and money as presently one is informed about the case status only on arrival at the Mamlatdar or Deputy Collector’s office where the case is being heard.
Sources informed that the app which is currently under development will go through rigorous testing for around one month. The clerical staff of the Courts will undergo training and the current procedures will be modified to ensure that all the daily case information is updated online so that all the information is complete and up-to-date.
