MARGAO: The South Goa District Magistrate has issued an order prohibiting the digging of roads without permissions of his office. Those violating the order will be booked under Section 188 of CrPC.
The South Goa District Collector Ajit Roy, IAS has prohibited any person/agency/organisation from digging any road or a part thereof without the written permission of the District Magistrate, in the territorial jurisdiction of South Goa district. Any concerned person/agencies involved in currently dug up roads or parts thereof, are also ordered to restore them to normal condition with immediate effect.
DM ensured that all the police officers of the rank of police inspectors and above of South Goa district should ensure effective implementation of the order and if any person/agency/organisation is found violating the order, appropriate action under Section 188 IPC may be initiated against the same.
