MARGAO: The political parties of Goa are leaving no stone unturned as the campaigns reach its fag end. BJP has a line-up of meetings in Margao, Shiroda and Sanguem too. The BJP with its alliance partner Goa Forward Party will put up a united show in a public meeting at Margao’s Lohia Maidan on Saturday.
“NDA partners have stood firmly behind both the Candidates for Lok Sabha and all the three contestants for Assembly by-elections and the ties are only getting stronger,” said Narendra Sawaikar, BJP’s South Goa MP.
Elsewhere, Congress’s star campaigner Navjot Singh Sidhu will be addressing a public meeting at the Quepem Municipal Garden on Saturday at 5 pm. Meanwhile AAP will be holding a drive with its South Goa LS candidate and convenor Elvis Gomes. The car and bike rally across South Goa with AAP volunteers and supporters. The rally will start at Pilot Point, Vasco-Da-Gama, at 8:30 am.
Political pundits have said that the strength of all the public meetings, those which have been held and those that are going to be held in the run up to the poll date, will give one an idea as to who has the edge for the South Goa Lok Sabha seat.
