South Goa communidade land prone to encroachment!

It appears that Communidade land in South Goa is prone to encroachment than properties owned by Communidades in North Goa . Several cases of illegal hutments having mushroomed in the Communidade property in South Goa have come to light.
The Government received 147 complaints of illegal hutment of Communidade property in South Zone with total area of 6.54 lakh sq mts been encroached upon.
Of total complaints received thirty-five complaints are from Margao jurisdiction alone. The area under encroachment range between 40 sq mts to 5000 mts.
In most of the cases of encroachment on communidade land, notices have been served and action initiated. But interestingly, in some instances, authorities have not been able to trace persons responsible for encroachments.
In South Zone, cases of illegal encroachment have been reported from Chinchinim, Loutolim, Verna, Curtorim, Assolna, Cavorim, Nagao, Guirdolim, Chicalim, Mormugao, Pale, Rivona, Canacona, Nagarcem-Palolem , Molcornem and Cacora.
Apparently, there are a great number of cases pending before South Goa authorities seeking regularization of area encroached upon.
Over hundred cases are pending for regularization from Margao.
Also, a large number of cases from Guirdolim, Curtorim, Dramapur, Gaundongrem,  Chicalim, Sancoale, Canacona, Loliem-Polem are pending cases regularization.
