BELGAUM, APRIL 25
For the clearance of extra rush during summer season, South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to run bi-weekly special trains between Hubli-Pune-Solapur via Belgaum, Miraj and Daund.
According to a SWR press release, Train Nos 0783/0784 and 0785/0786 the weekly special trains would be run via Gadag, Bagalkot and Bijapur. The trains would be convenient to Goans, who intend to visit Pune especially on a weekend, as this train runs via Londa and Belgaum.
Accordingly, Train no 0783 Hubli-Pune-Solapur will run from April 29. The bi-weekly would depart from Hubli at 9.25 pm on Wednesdays & Saturdays, reaching Solapur at 1.10 pm the next day, ie on Thursdays and Sundays respectively. The bi-weekly train service would be available till June 27.
Commencing at Hubli en route, the bi-weekly train would arrive/depart from Dharwad at 9.48/9.50 pm, Londa at 11.10/11.12 pm, Belgaum at 11.52/11.55 pm and will proceed further to Pune via Miraj. The train would reach Pune at 7.40 am next day and would proceed to Solapur via Daund at 8.05 am.
In the return direction, Train No 0784 will leave from Solapur on Thursdays and Sundays at 5 pm, reaching Pune at 10.50 pm from where it would proceed to Hubli via Belgaum. The returning train would reach Belgaum at 7.50 am and Londa at 9 am.
Goans intending to travel to Pune can board the train either at Londa or at Belgaum.
