PANJIM: Additional Sessions Judge Sherin Paul has rejected the bail applications of 14 accused involved in Souza Lobo Restaurant attack case. Bail to only one of the total arrested persons — Sunil alias Surendra Rathod — has been granted.
During the hearing, the court was informed that the Crime Branch made 18 arrests in the case and it is expected to soon file a charge sheet.
In the fag-end of December, a fight broke out between two groups outside the restaurant with firing and violent assaults leading to scare among the people.
The case was thereafter handed over to the Crime Branch and Goa Police suspended some policemen included the Calangute Police Inspector.
