PANJIM: Superintendent of Police Bosco George has been inducted into the Indian Police Service, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. He becomes the third officer to enter the IPS cadre after SP Atmaram Deshpande and Arvind Gawas.
As per the notification, George will serve the Goa segment. “…the President is pleased to appoint Bosco George of Goa Police Service to the IPS on probation and to allocate him to the Goa segment of Joint AGMUT cadre under sub-rule (1) of the rule 5 of the IPS (cadre) Rules 1954,” reads the notification signed by Under Secretary to the Government of India Ajay Kumar Singh. Presently, Bosco is posted as SP Security and FRRO.
