PANJIM: Superintendent of Police (SP) Kiran J Poduval will be presented the President’s Police Medal by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant at the State-level Goa Liberation Day celebrations at Goa University ground (Helipad area), Taleigao on December 19.
SP Poduval joined the Goa Police department as Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) on July 26, 1990 and underwent one-year basic training at the Maharashtra Police Academy, Nasik and passed out with flying colours in May 1991. He stood 1st amongst the PSIs from Goa Police and 8th in the Academy.
For its various achievements, Poduval was awarded with Chief Minister’s Police (Gold) medal in 2012 for meritorious service on the occasion of Liberation Day. He was awarded with DGP’s Insignia for Excellence in Service on the occasion of Goa Police Raising Day on December 20, 2021.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Fire Service Medals for meritorious service/gallantry will also be presented to four fire personnel of the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services.
Those to be presented medals by the Chief Minister are Station Fire Officer (SFO) Ravindranath V Pednekar, Sub-Officer Rui Fernandes, watch room operator Devanand V Parsekar and leading fire fighter Dharmendra G Naik.
