PANJIM: The Superintendent of Police (Traffic) on Thursday announced traffic arrangements in Panjim for counting day, March 11.
Counting will start at 8 am, at Bal Bhavan, Campal. To avoid traffic congestion and ensure smooth flow of traffic, special arrangements will be enforced from 6 am till the time counting ends.
The road from the Bal Ganesh Temple to Fire Force headquarters will be closed for normal vehicular traffic till the counting process ends. Only emergency vehicles and vehicles of residents will be allowed to use the road from Fire headquarters side.
Parking of vehicles will be allowed at Bandodkar football stadium and emergency vehicles will be allowed to park at Campal Parade Ground while vehicles of officials will be parked near the Indoor Stadium.
No vehicles will be allowed to stop or park on DB Marg and any vehicle found parked will be towed away.
Police personnel will be deployed on the eve of counting to ensure that traffic arrangements are followed.
